Bruce has practiced law in Joplin, Missouri since graduating from law school in 1983.  Wife Karen is an instructional coach with the Joplin R-VIII school district.  Son graduated from the University of Arkansas and is attending law school at the University of Oklahoma at Norman. Daughter is attending Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.

Spare time spent as a Bob Villa wannabe, the occasional round of golf, fishing and following Cardinal and Razorback baseball, Jayhawk and Celtic basketball and Chief football.
